Alishan Mountain is located in Taiwan and famous for its compelling beauty of mountain scenery. Over the past decades, many popular folk songs of different nationalities of China have been transcribed into orchestral music as a way of an introduction to western orchestration. This orchestral version of Girls from Mountain Alishan is one of the encore hits of the CNSO. 2 Songtseyala by Ding Xiao Li Songtseyala is a concert piece for orchestra arranged by the late Chinese composer Ding Xiao Li. The music comes from a song called Song of a laundry girl written by Luo Nian Yi in the 1960s, who adopted a popular Tibetan folk song and set the different lyrics to it. The result was a nation-wide hit from the 1960s to 1980s, still very popular today among middleaged people.
